Hot Dog Party

This was the first year I have had a Hot Dog Party to celebrate the end of the drawing unit in Writing Workshop.  We finished the unit studying Mo Willems books, using his books to show us how to draw, use speech bubbles, action words, and page layout.  The Pigeon Finds a Hot Dog was one of our favorite books by Mo Willems.  We played Hot Dog Dress Up on Mo's website, pigeonpresents.com, decorated paper hot dogs, ate hot dogs, and shared our drawings with our guest.  I am looking forward to next year's Hot Dog Party!
